Our primary purpose is to help newcomers and retirees become acquainted with one another and learn about the civic and social activities in the Greater Lansing area.
HELO Club was organized in 1961. It began in the communities of Haslett, East Lansing, and Okemos, thus the acronym HELO. In recent years, it has grown to include other communities in the Greater Lansing area. If you are new to the area, are a recent retiree, or have relocated back to the area and are looking for a group to form friendships and share common interests, please consider us.
On the fourth Tuesday of each month (except November, December, July and August), members and their guests are invited to attend the member luncheon held at various restaurants. Followed by a short program or presentation, each meeting provides plenty of opportunity to meet others. The holiday luncheon and program is usually held in early December and includes a musical performance by a local ensemble.
